Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Depart Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Visit the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous film location. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara.
Day 2 - Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
Travel through the lush Draa Valley, home to Morocco’s longest palm grove. Pass by ancient kasbahs and desert villages en route to Merzouga. In the afternoon, embark on a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes for a magical sunset. Arrive at your luxury desert camp for dinner and a night under the stars.
Day 3 - Erg Chebbi – Merzouga – Khamlia Village – Merzouga
Wake up early for a breathtaking Sahara sunrise. After breakfast, explore the region: visit Khamlia Village for live Gnawa music, discover local nomadic life, and admire the vast Erg Chebbi dunes. Return to your Merzouga accommodation for a relaxing evening.
Day 4 - Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge
After breakfast, leave Merzouga and drive to the impressive Todra Gorges, famous for their dramatic canyon walls. Continue through the scenic road of the Dades Valley, with its winding rock formations and kasbahs.
